This past week was top-notch. A Little Scene Flip Books went celebrity in Los Angeles by making photo flip books for celebrities at the Lucky / Madewell Fall Denim Party Finale at Bar Marmont. Check out all the celebrities and the PR from the event!
We were recently at a wedding where we had the opportunity to work with one of San Diego’s top music entertainment companies, Creative Music DJs. Their DJ and master of ceremonies, Dennis Jones, was great at coordinating the reception, and keeping things flowing smoothly.
The bride and groom stated that they found out about Creative Music DJs from a close friend who had used them for their wedding a few years ago. He had been recommended for his well-known technique of personally sitting down with the clients and helping them select songs, explaining the dynamics of events, and of course his knowledge of event coordination as well as music from all eras. For this particular wedding, he had even gone so far as to suggest moving some events around in order to ‘keep the flow’ (his words). They went with his suggestions and pleased with the outcome.
In our business we have worked with a lot of vendors and entertainers. Many are good, but few go the extra mile that Creative Music DJs did. We are happy to announce that A Little Scene Flip Books is now a member of BESA Bar/Bat Mitzvah Event Services Association in San Diego.
About BESA
BESA, the Bar/Bat Mitzvah Event Services Asociation, was the brainchild of two of its founding members – Eric Sands of Sundance Productions (DJ/MC) and Sherrill Kinsler, of Behind the Scenes Event Co. (Event Planner). In 2001, with both of their 50+ collective years of experience in the special events industry, they met for lunch to discusss how they might be able to make a difference. Seeing a need for such an association of vendors who specialize in Jewish events, they set out to assemble a core group of eight members to offer their expertise to the San Diego community. BESA was born.

NAMM.org did a great job incorporating musical instruments into the prop bin for their employees to make flip books at their company holiday party. The instruments were easy to find considering NAMM is manages the Museum of Making Music in Carlsbad, California.
